ENT stands for Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. One day, before I have noticed about being deaf and hopeful for. Why I said that? I had kind of earaches and wanted to see ENT about it. First thing, I called and asked for appointment. They learned that I am deaf and put me automatically to Cochlear Implant instead of check about my earaches. Oh my! They decide for me? No. They should nott.
What if deaf patient had bad aches in ears, throat or sinus allergies. Will that help them with CI? No. They are patients and wanted to heal instead of suffering with pain or sick with sinus. I not know how much about nose but just my ole sinus problem. Hehe. I just noticed odd about that because “what if” will happen?
I went to ENT for “CI” appointment but I asked the doctor about my earaches anyway. His response was not wonderful answer after I asked. I turmed to disgusting feel and it bothers me. I would love go back to urgent care to get rx for it. The UC do understand my problem about ear but he would prefer for me go to doctor that know about ears. That was not good day for me and after my few visits with ENT and audioigist appointments. I become upset and wanted to scream at them for disrespect me. Finally, I told him, “I not know that cause because of my sinus days or just my ears drains. And I need that rx after UC doctor suggest me to go ENT for that.” He said, “take Tylenol.” Nice. Guess what my earaches stopped after his answer! Wow, he must use magic. Hehe.
What if deaf patient have serious problem and what will happen?
Now, I have homework about cochlear implants.
