I been thinking about this subject between Religion and Kids. I grew up as church goer with my parents. Right now, I have deaf church. I met few friends who were kids with me went to deaf service at church and not aware about their religion till later. Let me tell you about few friends in the past.

In Birmingham, Alabama and met few teachers who took me and went to church that has deaf classes and have sign language interpreters. I was only kid and young. I was very familiar with. At the school, kids’ parents discuss about children go to the church. I have no idea so was glad to have my friends go to church same as school with me. Later in years, we all become adults and learned that one friend’s family is Presbyterian, and one friend’s family is not church goer but Christianity.

When I live in Dallas, Texas and had deaf church that everyone attends. I meant more than 100 people attended. I grew up in and met my former boyfriend there. We were only teenagers and not familiar about his family religion till met his family because they are Hispanic and cathartic. They told me about it and not realized that he is deaf and went to my church. Only deaf service and only religion is familiar is Baptist Chistian. I have nothing against that because I was in love with him.

Moved to St Louis, Missouri and not going to any churches because I have no idea where the deaf service is. I am older and very familiar about Christianity. One church I went to that knew has sign language interpreter but bible class for the deaf. One of my friends brought me to Kansas City to watch her friend play at church, which is having a Christmas Play. Yes, there was sign language interpreter but NO deaf class. I met few people and heard that kids been picking to go to church without parents. The church willing to pick up kids and then drop them off. That one reminded me of one few my friends back in Alabama and Texas.

I have nothing about religious or Christianity. I went to Presbyterian and Methodist for the day care. I was invited to Pentecostal church couple times. I went to Cathartic/Lutheran church, too. I have been listened to my friend who is LDS Mormon (Known as Letter Day Saints).

Diversity. Union Christian Church as we are together.

I started to be wondering about kids and parents because most of kids been picking up from church but what about their religious? Why not parents go to church with their kids? What kind of religious they are? What kids would be do when grow up?
